For “green nails” day of the #31DC2016 I did some watercolor prickly pear cacti nail art! We have some prickly pears in my neighborhood and I love their bright red fruits.
The key to controlling the watercolor effect is using the paint over a matte base. If you’re using regular polish, put down a matte topcoat. If you’re using gel, cleanse the tacky layer off of your color coat.
