'Tropical' Nail Art Tutorial. I wanted to show how I crested these nails. Hopefully this will be helpful for nail art. 🌴🌴🌴 1⃣ Choose any kind of picture or pattern as a sample for your inspiration. Apply your base coat, I used a light olive-green. Once your base coat is mostly dry, add any accent colors for extra texture. I used a deeper shade of olive-green and a light brown. Brush off most of the paint from your brush and then lightly sweep over your base coat, leaving steaks of color. If you have any spots that appear too dark, add some streaks of your base coat color on top. Once you've achieved your desired look add a clear, quick-dry polish to give your base color a smooth finish. 🌴🌴🌴 2⃣ Once your base coat is totally dry and smooth, then take your darkest color and a fine detail brush to paint the base for your palm leaves. I used a dark hunter-green color. This detail work will create the shape of your leaves and give you your outline, so paint carefully. If you make any mistakes you can clean your brush in nail polish remover and brush your mistake away gently with your wet brush. If your mistake can't be removed this way, just paint a little of your base color over it. 🌴🌴🌴 3⃣ Using white polish and a fine-tipped brush, paint the inside of each leaf, carefully leaving some of the darker color along the outside for your outline. Next you will paint in each leaf with the base color of your choice for each palm leaf. 🌴🌴🌴 4⃣ The last step is any detail work you feel needs to be added. Mix lighter and darker shades from the base leaf colors you've used to add highlights and shadows to your palm leaves. I used white drops of paint to lighten my colors, and a really dark brown to mix the color for shadows. Black, gray, or any dark color should work well. Once you've finished painting, you can add a clear top coat, and clean around the edges of your nails well. I use fine-point Q-tips dipped in nail polish remover for my clean up. Now that your nails are done, enjoy them! 😄♥️🌴♥️ #nailart #nailartaug #tropical #tropicalnails #palmleaves #palmleavesnails #tutorial #nailtutorial #nailarttutorial
