Home nail tutorial Quick and dirty pictorial for my way to colour block. 1⃣ Base coat plus two coats of top coat to make it easier to touch up at the end. Place a square stud in the centre held down with a teeny bit of top coat as it will be removed before polishing. Start taping going around the stud anticlockwise. 2⃣ All four centre tapes in place so remove the stud. 3⃣ Add the accent tapes and press down really firmly with a cuticle stick, running it over each tape. 4⃣5⃣Open all of the polish bottles and place blobs on paper. Start painting the accent stripes then remove the inner tapes leaving the original four from around the stud in place. 6⃣ Paint the centre and the two large sections. 7⃣ Remove the last tapes in reverse order to placing them. I actually didn't but thankfully it didn't smudge 😁. At this point touch up any dodgy bits. Seepage under the tape can easily be cleaned up with a tiny brush and acetone because the two top coat layers will protect your basecoat. 8⃣ Top coat and admire! Hope this is clear.
