Home nail tutorial HOW TO: NAILS Ombré stained nails What you need: A sponge A cup of water A brush, preferably a eyeliner brush or angled brush, but any would do Nail polish remover At least 3 colours of nail polish A white nail polish Top coat Glitter (optional, if you one glitters) How to: Step 1: Paint a base coat of white nail polish Step 2: Drop the sponge into the glass of water, don't worry if it floats on the surface of the water. Step 3: Remove sponge and squeeze of excess water Step 4: Place the 3 coloured nail polish in any order you like on the sponge, but make sure it overlaps one another slightly Step 5: *tip* make sure you white base coat is completely dry. Move the sponge back and forth on your nail, dabbing to blend it so it gives an ombré effect. *tip* if the nail polish is not really sticking onto your nail, wait just for a little bit for the nail polish to dry a little so it gets tacky and would transfer onto your nail more easily. Step 6: Clean the sides of your nail using nail polish remover and your brush. Step 7 (optianal): Use glitter nail polish and put onto some areas for a shiner look to get the effect in the first pic Step 8: After the nail has completely dried, apply a layer of top coat. TADAH!
